​​​​​​Jagriti Bangiyo Cultural Association (JBCA) is a non-profit organization, (Regd. No. DRO/SJN/SOR/119/14-15) was formed in 2014 by the Bengali families living around Ramamurthynagar and TC Palya in Bangalore. The main objective was to bring together like-minded people to celebrate various Bengali festivals and support local culture and people. Today JBCA is a society of more than 50 families celebrating different festivals and cultural events along with number of social activities throughout the year

​​​​The first cultural event held by JBCA was on 9th April 2014 welcoming the Bengali New Year ‘Poila Boishak’


We celebrated our first year of Sarbojanin Durga Puja on a grand scale at Subha Saptarshi Kalyana Mantapa (T C Palya Main Road, Ramamurthy Nagar) in 2014,  followed by a theme based Durgapuja in 2015. Since 2016, JBCA celebrated 'Durga Puja' in ITI Hockey ground with great success and appreciated by different media and forums.

It was a proud moment when Durga Puja 2014 of JBCA was reported as one of the ‘must see’ Puja in ‘Bangalore Times’​. During last ten years, JBCA Durga Puja was featured in leading news papers like Deccan ChronicleDeccan Herald, Prajavani, Aajkal and leading media houses like NDTV, TV9

Some proud JBCA moments include:

  • Sponsored Two Girl Child's education through Nanhi Kali
  • Supporting Three Children's education who are studying in Eben-Ezer Public School
  • Organized multiple Blood donation camps in association with Lions Clubs since inception
  • Donation drives at Shishu Mandir and Miracle Manna Children Home
  • Hosted free Eye and Cardiology check-up camps for the community
  • Extended sponsorship support in providing a Bus Stop on T C Palya Main Road
  • Donation for North Karnataka, Coorg, Chennai and Kerala flood relief
  • ​200+ tree plantation in association with Forest Department
  • Provided Donation to PM Covid Fund, Karnataka Covid Fund
