Our Culture

JBCA was formed with the purpose of enhancing cultural, artistic and social experience through activities which in turn will build a conscientious generation next

Jagriti Bangiyo Cultural Association (JBCA) is a non-profit organization, (Regd. No. DRO/SJN/SOR/119/14-15) was formed in 2014 by the Bengali families living around Ramamurthynagar and TC Palya in Bangalore. The main objective was to bring together like-minded people to celebrate various Bengali festivals and cherish the rich cultural heritage of West Bengal in Bangalore. Today JBCA is a society of more than 50 families celebrating different festivals and cultural events along with a number of social activities throughout the year.

We celebrated our first year of Sarbojanin Durga Puja on a grand scale at Subha Saptarshi Kalyana Mantapa (T C Palya Main Road, Ramamurthy Nagar) in 2014,  followed by a theme based Durgapuja in 2015. JBCA celebrated 'Sharad Utsav -2016' in ITI Hockey ground last year, which was a great success and appreciated by different media and forums.

It was a proud moment when Durga Puja 2014 of JBCA was reported as one of the ‘must see’ Puja in ‘Bangalore Times’. During last year, JBCA Durga Puja was featured in leading news papers like Deccan Chronicle and Deccan Herald
